undefined Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov (Russian: Ю́рийАлекса́ндрович Безме́нов; 1939 – 1993), known by the alias; Tomas David Schuman, was a Soviet journalist for RIA Novosti and a former PGU KGB informant who defected to Canada.

After After graduating in 1963, Bezmenov spent two years in India working as a translator and public relations officer. Bezmenov eventually grew to love the people and the culture of India, but at the same time, he began to resent the KGB-sanctioned oppression of intellectuals who dissented from Moscow’s policies.

In 1965, Bezmenov was recalled to Moscow and began to work for RIA Novosti as an apprentice for their classified department of “Political Publications” (GRPP). He discovered that about three quarters of Novosti’s staffers were actually KGB officers, with the remainder being “co-optees” or KGB freelance writers and informers like himself.

Bezmenov stated that he was instructed not to waste time with idealistic leftists, as these would become disillusioned, bitter, and adversarial when they realized the true nature of Soviet communism. During that period, increasingly seeing the Soviet system as insidious and ruthless, Bezmenov began careful planning to defect to the West.

Bezmenov was an expert in what the communist USSR called ideological subversion; waging war on the culture, ideology and minds of the people of enemy countries, with the intent of bringing it to it’s knees – without firing a shot.

To be fair, the CIA is no angel either, but Communist regimes seemed to excel at subversion and manipulation of whole societies, after all, they have plenty of practice domestically in how to brainwash a nation.

Bezemenov gave series of talks in the early to mid 1980’s, at a time when the US was at the height of a cold war with the Soviet Union. Today, in 2020, the US again finds itself on the brink of a cold war, this time the fascist dictatorship that is the Chinese Communist party (CCP), after their release and subsequent cover-up of the CCP virus, which has done untold damage to the world, and has spurred multiple actors sympathetic to the global communist agenda into action. Never let a crisis go to waste.

The pandemic in 2020 has been a wake-up call for the West, a slap in the face if you like, as to the true expansionist nature and intentions of the CCP, and Marxist communism in general. A reminder of what the West so quickly and foolishly forgot after the fall of the USSR – the evil that is totalitarian marxist communism.

I will let Bezmenov explain the carefully constructed art of ideologically subverting a society, particularly the four stages; from the generation or two that is required for initial demoralization, to the destabilization of a country, to the manufactured crisis stage, and then to ‘normalization’, which is anything but normal, but rather whatever the newly established regime deems normal; historically, a totalitarian fascistic state.

Perhaps it could be said that the CCP has been attempting to finish in the West what the USSR started, as is detailed in the People’s Liberation Army of China’s handbook; “Unrestricted Warfare” [PDF].

We are seeing radical-left, violent, fascist groups, who in true Orwellian fashion, name themselves ANTIFA (‘anti-fascist’ – you can’t make this stuff up), or ‘BLM‘ (‘Black Lives Matter’ – was there a consensus that they didn’t?), loot and burn America in the name of some manufactured cause or another, and it all looks a lot like a well organized, well funded campaign. A plot that has been brewing for some time, looking for an opportunity to attempt to instigate the ‘crisis’ stage.
I feel it’s a desperate move on those doing the funding (G. Soros), as their CCP virus boogeyman faded prematurely, and this attempt at staging a crisis,or even a soft coup, will also fail.

Although Yuri is talking about the USSR in these interviews, and a time long past, the Chinese Communist Party employs the same tactics today, only with more precision, skill, and reach, all furthered to new heights by great leaps forward in technology.

It’s believed that Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov passed 1993. An obituary article published 06 Jan 1993, by The Windsor Star, detailed his life [PDF]. Yuri authored a book in 1984 under his pseudonym, Thomas D. Schuman, titled ‘Love letter to America‘. Perhaps it’s time we all read it.

The tragic thing is, as Bezmenov details, it will take an entirely new generation or two to educate that the West may not be perfect, but its a work in progress, and it’s the best we have.
